Based on the Smart Campus All-purpose Card Platform, a business middle ware platform for the campus all-purpose card service is being developed to align with the overall planning of the smart campus at Henan Polytechnic University. This platform aims to integrate data standards, IoT openness, and business convergence to support the unified payment and authentication capabilities that cover the whole campus. It will facilitate online and offline payment, fee collection, consumption, and multi-media identity verification functions. The goal is to achieve a "cardless, self-service, online, integrated" financial and lifestyle service interface.
Three types of cards are issued: faculty cards, student cards, and temporary cards. With the support of WeChat Enterprise Account, the capabilities of the campus card service can be extended the mobile platform. The virtual campus card can replace the physical campus card for identity recognition, consumption, library borrowing, access control, and other functions. It also provides WeChat pay, bill inquiry, card suspension, and card reactivation.
Consumption devices have been deployed in 7 restaurants across the 3 campuses, supporting both physical and virtual card-based online and offline payments. The faculty canteen also supports facial recognition for payments, breaking down the barriers between different payment methods. The service needs for campus water supply and bathing can be improved. Access control, shuttle buses, self-service, and other services have greatly improved. With the integration of facial recognition systems with features such as large screens and the register system, a new era of "face recognition check-in" has been initiated. The conference sign-in system and big data analysis platform provide more convenient services for management. Promoting the progress of "service informatization", a system has been established that caters to both teachers and students, as well as management and services. It has significantly improved the efficiency and level of school management, service perception, and user experience, reaching an advanced level among domestic colleges.
